Van Kronenburg Autosport offers customers a wide range of services for their engines. Whether it’s the rebuild of an old cylinder head or the complete development of a new high performance engine, Van Kronenburg Autosport can cater to all our customers wishes.

The extensive workshop, specialized machinery and level of craftsmanship enable Van Kronenburg Autosport to perform a wide variety of services including:

 

Cylinder head services

• Leveling/flattening of the cylinder head
• Polishing, flowing and porting of the in- and outlet channels
• Grinding and adapting of the valves and valve-guides
• Flow-technical optimize valve-seats
• Lightening of the valve-mechanism
• Conversion from hydraulic to mechanical valve-mechanism
• Conversion from a non-adjustable to an adjustable camshaft pulley/sprocket
• Mounting of standard or special high performance camshafts, including adjustments to the valve-springs and valve clearance. Special camshafts can be delivered on request
• Adjustment of the compression ratio to suit the customers specifications. The cylinder head volume will therefore be measured and the cylinder head flattened to achieve the specified compression ratio
• Leakage test of the cylinder head

 

Engine block modifications

• ‘Engine blueprinting’
• Drilling and honing of the cylinders
• Leveling/flattening of the engine block
• Grinding, drilling and lightening of the flywheel
• Grinding and polishing of the crankshaft
• Balancing of the crankshaft from 1 to 12 cylinders. For ‘rotation-asymmetrical crankshafts’ we use special contra weights, called bobweights. The crankshaft can be balanced including flywheel and clutch
• Weighing of connecting rods (big- and small-end separately)
• Repair of the big-end through ‘honing’.
• Strengthening of the connecting rods through ‘shot-peening’
• Lightening of connecting rods (through grinding and polishing)
• Lightening and adjustment of pistons
• Milling and grinding of valve pockets in pistons
• Renewing and concentrically displacing of the piston pins and bushes
• Mounting of standard or special high performance pistons. Special pistons can be delivered on request

 

Gearbox services

• Rebuild of gearboxes
• Mounting of new or uprated bearings and bushings
• Mounting of limited slip differentials

 

Special products manufacturing

Our workshop is also equipped with an automated 3d milling machine and various manual milling and turning machines. Using these machines we can manufacture special products in small amounts to suit the customers specifications.
This also enables Van Kronenburg Autosport to design unique parts in a short amount of time, essential when developing a cutting edge high performance engine.
